Welcome to our community! We are thrilled to have you join a group of parents dedicated to fostering kindness, respect, and growth. To ensure this space remains supportive and inclusive for everyone, we ask that all members adhere to the following community standards:
1. Practice Courtesy and Respect
Every member deserves to feel valued and heard. Please approach all interactions with kindness and respect, whether you’re sharing advice, asking a question, or offering feedback.
Remember the gold rule: treat others the way you wish to be treated. We practice good social decorum on this platform.
2. No Tolerance for Judgment or Rudeness
Parenting is a unique journey for everyone. We do not tolerate judgment, shaming, or rude comments toward others’ parenting styles, questions, or experiences. Let’s celebrate our differences and learn from one another with an open heart.
Remember: if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all. We practice good conversation decorum on this platform.
3. Recognize the Uniqueness of Every Family and Child
Each family and child is different, with their own pace of learning and grasping new concepts. Be understanding and supportive of these differences, and refrain from comparing or criticizing others' progress or methods.
Remember: respecting parents and their children is a part of "respecting parents" etiquette.
4. Be Supportive and Encouraging
This is a safe space to share your challenges, successes, and questions. Offer encouragement and constructive feedback rather than criticism. Remember, we’re all here to grow together.
Remember: we practice conversation decorm and social decoum on this platform.
5. Avoid Contradicting Course Material
Our community is built around the principles and teachings of the course material. Please respect the guidance provided in the course by refraining from promoting advice or practices that conflict with it. This ensures consistency and supports everyone in applying the lessons effectively.
Remember: as a guest to this platform, you are not going against "house rules", aka the material. Be kind to the host, Raising Well-Mannered Children, and promote the material. This is good hospitality practice.
6. Ask Questions Before Jumping to Conclusions
When in doubt, seek clarity. Online communication can sometimes make it difficult to interpret tone or intent. If something seems unclear or off, ask questions politely rather than making assumptions. This helps maintain harmony, courtesy, encouragement, and understanding.
Remember: this is good conversation decorum practice.
7. No Promoting Insulting or Dismissing Spouses/Partners
We are committed to fostering strong family bonds. Please refrain from promoting disrespectful or insulting behavior toward spouses or partners. If someone is facing a disagreement, avoid encouraging them to leave their spouse or partner. Instead, offer supportive advice to help them fight for their relationship and find common ground, even in the midst of challenges.
Remember: as a guest, you are not insulting other guests relationships. Practice social decoum and honouring the person's relationship by promoting "respecting families unity" manners.
If you are finding something challenging with your partner, avoid ruining the right to their good name and trash talking them. Bring up the issue for problem solving in a charitable way. When in doubt, send an email for a personal response.
Remember: keep family matters discreet is good conversation etiquette and social decorum.
8. Respect Privacy
What’s shared in the community stays in the community. Please respect the privacy of others and do not share screenshots, personal information, or private conversations outside this group.
Remember: a part of social decorum and conversation etiquette is not gossiping, slandering, or speaking ill-mannered about someone.
9. Report Concerns
If you experience or witness behavior that violates these standards, please report it to the community moderators. We are here to ensure this space remains positive and welcoming for all.
Remember: as a good guest, you advice if household rules are being violated and bring it up discreetly to the host. Please inform us if you catch these behaviours above being broken.
10. Zero Tolerance for Bullying or Harassment
Any form of bullying, harassment, or discriminatory language will result in immediate removal from the community. Everyone has the right to feel safe and supported here.
Together, let’s create a space that uplifts, inspires, and encourages every parent on their journey. Thank you for being a part of this amazing community!
Remember: social decorum fosters unity and good conversation etiquette is encouraged.
